On Sunday, April 6th, 2025, under clear blue skies, Carn Runners showcased exceptional talent and determination at the An Res Hellys 10-mile multi-terrain race in Helston. Organised in collaboration with Tri-Logic Cornwall, this event marked the fifth race in the Cornish Grand Prix Running Series. ​

Outstanding Performances:

  • Tommy secured 1st place in his age group, demonstrating remarkable speed and endurance.​
  • Glynn achieved 2nd place in his age group, adding to the club’s accolades with a strong finish.​
  • Becky, accompanied by her sister Abi, delivered a solid run, effectively preparing for their upcoming Classic Quarter challenge next month.​
  • Tony finished strongly, overcoming the setback from his previous fall at the Granite Way race, showcasing resilience and determination.​
  • Tim powered through the challenging ascent off Loe Bar and navigated the lanes of Gunwalloe with vigor, with Janet and Vicky maintaining a close pursuit, highlighting the depth of talent within the club.​
  • A warm welcome to new member Emma, who made her debut in Carn Runners’ colors, adding fresh energy to the team.​

Community Support:

The presence of Peter and Jane as marshals along the course was a morale booster for participants. Their encouragement and support exemplify the strong community spirit that defines Carn Runners.​
