Carn Runners Power Through London Marathon 2025
The 2025 London Marathon was a day to remember for Carn Runners, as Dawn, Kat and Anya took on one of the world’s most iconic races, pushing through the unseasonal heat to achieve something incredible.
Despite soaring temperatures reaching 23 degrees, which sadly caused many participants to pull out due to medical issues, our three Carnies showed true grit and determination, crossing the famous finish line on The Mall – tired, sore, but still smiling.
Brilliant Performances
- 🏃♀️ Dawn – Finished in 5 hours, 1 minute, and 1 second
- 🏃♀️ Kat – Finished in 6 hours, 7 minutes, and 42 seconds
- 🏃♀️ Anya – Finished in 6 hours, 42 minutes, and 33 seconds
Dawn had the honour of taking part through the club place this year and made the most of the experience with an incredible performance in challenging conditions.
Kat ran to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and Anya supported Mind, both important charities that are close to many of our hearts. If you’d still like to show your support, you can donate at the following links:

In Their Words
Dawn shared:
“The crowds were out in force, sometimes 8 deep, screaming, shouting, steel bands, drums, full-on bands, DJs, drag queens on Rainbow Row didn’t disappoint.”
Kat added:
“I listened to my body and soaked in the incredible atmosphere.”
That electric atmosphere helped to drive them all forward, with the crowd’s energy providing the lift they needed when the miles and heat made everything tougher.
Well-Deserved Celebrations
After crossing the finish line, all three celebrated with a very well-earned cool beer, sharing laughs and relief at having completed one of the hottest London Marathons in recent memory.
From all at Carn Runners – massive congratulations Dawn, Kat and Anya. You’ve done yourselves and the club incredibly proud!
