Carn Runners’ Pub-Themed Run and Fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support

Carn Runners at The White Hart

On a recent Wednesday club night, Carn Runners combined their passion for running with community engagement by organising a unique pub-themed run, followed by a fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Pub-Themed Run

Members split into two groups, each tasked with capturing photos in front of as many local pubs as possible during their run. One group impressively documented stops at 12 pubs, while the other visited nine. The sight of runners posing at various establishments sparked the curiosity of pub goers, adding an element of fun and community interaction to the evening.

Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support

After the run, member Kat hosted a soup supper as part of her ongoing efforts to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Participants enjoyed warm bowls of soup, fostering camaraderie while supporting a meaningful cause. The evening raised Just over £110. Kat’s dedication to fundraising continues, and donations can still be made through her JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/katmarisco
