Saturday, April 5th: Croust Hut Out-and-Back
On Saturday, members gathered for a scenic 6-mile out-and-back run from the Croust Hut, a charming café located within the historic King Edward Mine Museum in Troon, Camborne. The route, part of the Great Flat Lode Trail, offered runners a blend of gentle terrains and glimpses into Cornwall’s rich mining heritage.
The Croust Hut, known for its warm ambiance and delectable offerings, provided a perfect end to the run. Runners took a moment to refuel and enjoy the offerings.
Sunday, April 6th: Camborne to Penzance 20-Mile Challenge
Sunday presented a more demanding endeavor as several members undertook a 20-mile run from Camborne to Penzance. This route traversed diverse landscapes, including sections of the South West Coast Path, renowned for its breathtaking coastal views and challenging terrains.
The journey tested the endurance and determination of the runners, culminating in a rewarding finish in Penzance. The sense of accomplishment was palpable, highlighting the group’s dedication to pushing their limits and supporting one another through such challenges.
