On Sunday, 6th April 2025, Claire participated in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, an event renowned for its scenic route through the heart of the capital. The race commenced on Whitehall and concluded near Trafalgar Square, offering runners views of iconic landmarks such as Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Tower of London.
Claire described the day as filled with a spectrum of emotions, navigating the bustling streets amidst the excitement of fellow participants. Despite the warm conditions and the challenges of the course, she achieved an unexpected personal best, a testament to her dedication and training. Crossing the finish line, she was rewarded with a beautifully crafted medal, symbolising her accomplishment.
Post-race, Claire expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported her journey, particularly those who contributed to her fundraising efforts for NHS Charities Together. She acknowledged the nerves involved in navigating London solo for the event and appreciated the well-wishes that bolstered her confidence.
