Success in the Multi Terrain Series 2016/2017

Carn Runners are celebrating a good end to the 2016/17 Cornish Multi Terrain series with races over the county from Tywardeath Trotter to the Race for Wildlife way down west.  Carn Runner Paul Sawford was 4th overall in the league table plus 1st in his age category(over 45). The following club members also won age category prizes; family members Barry Drew 3rd in age cat over 65, Carole Drew 1st in age cat over 65, Peter Drew 2nd in age cat over 65 and Ceri Harvey 9th overall lady and 2nd in age cat over 35.  Plus Sandy Jamieson 2nd in age cat over 55, Margaret Wade 3rd in age cat over 55, Helen Thomas 3rd in age cat over 45 and Judy Jameson 3rd in age cat over 55.

Club members Jeanette Toy, Kat Marsh and Caroline Vinnicombe also received awards for 6 races completed. Overall the Carn Ladies team were 4th out of 15 clubs beating the men’s team who were still a respectable 8th place.
